It wasn’t long ago when I began this journey. It was something that I felt passionate about doing. One of the reasons for doing this was because it was something that I felt that I was supposed to do. With that in mind, I did some searching, and I wrote down ideas of how I felt it should be. Another reason for doing this was because I was hoping that it would be something that would solve some of the issues that I was seeing, not just in my life, but in the creative journeys of others. I was hoping that it could be something that would be helpful to others and myself, but it hasn’t been easy. Throughout the journey, especially the beginning of it, I was running into issues. There was stressor after stressor. Strangely enough, I managed to remain calm. It had to be by the grace of God that I had the peace that I had during that time. Unfortunately, it seemed like one wrong thing after another would occur. It wasn’t long until I had faced another problem. It was upsetting, to say the least, and it was a bit of a setback, but by the grace of God, I managed to find an alternative to the issue. Of course, the original issue ended up being corrected, again, by the grace of God. Then another issue would come up. It was one of those things where I would make a great deal of progress on the project that I was working on, only to be met with a huge brick wall. I ended up having to start over, and it was frustrating, but I wasn’t about to give up. Thankfully, I managed to find an alternative that worked even better than the original one. I was thankful for that. I worked late to catch up on the progress that was lost. The result ended up being better than what it originally was. It was ten days ago when the project was completed and launched, a site that I created called Drift & Dream. What is Drift & Dream? It’s a place that I created with creatives in mind. It’s a place for those who feel unseen and unheard. I’m sure that many of us have felt that way at some point. I know that I’ve been there. I know what it feels like to be silenced and hidden. I know the pain of being unseen and unheard. We work so hard on the things that we create, whether it’s a book, a game, a video, or a work of art. None of us want to be cast down and devalued. That’s the reason I created the site Drift & Dream. I did it for everyone who has been there, for every person, myself included, who has experienced the pain of feeling unseen and unheard. We all deserve better than that. We work hard at what we do, and we deserve to be seen. I hope that I will be able to make a difference for someone, even if it’s just one person, although I hope that it will be many more. Of course, I have been facing more obstacles. Even though the new site and brand had been launched, the work was far from over. Completing the project was only part of it. There’s also the task of putting it out there for people to see, and unfortunately, it has not been easy. The new issue I was facing was the problem of feeling unseen. It was the very thing that I was trying to fight against. After launching the site, I shared it on social media. I even posted in a few writer’s lifts. Unfortunately, it didn’t go as well as I had hoped. The posts were not being shared. The hosts would share everyone else’s posts, whether they’d be books, blogs, sites, etc., but not the post for my new site. Once again, I was feeling unseen and unheard. The thing that I worked so hard on wasn’t even being given a chance. It was devastating and discouraging. It caused me to feel beat down, and I even wondered if what I had worked so hard on was all in vain. As discouraging as it is, I’m still going to be hopeful that something good will happen, but this entire situation was the exact reason for me creating the site in the first place. There was also a smaller project that I was working on. It was a book, The Drift & Dream Devotional, which I had written with unseen creatives in mind. Recently, I completed it, and it is available on Amazon and several bookstores, both in ebook and paperback. I decided to post it in writer’s lifts, hoping that it would be shared and seen, but unfortunately, it was ignored, even though I reposted all the posts of the host. I also noticed that my post was the only one that wasn’t reposted. I was devastated. It also made me realize that for the most part, writer’s lifts may be a waste of time, especially if some will be singled out, even if they share the host’s posts. The disappointment in the writer’s lift was a lot of what drove me to create the site, the book, and the brand. There were also the gatekeepers who had no qualms about penalizing people for no reason and keeping those unseen and silent who they deemed not good enough or worth their time. Recently, I expanded on the brand with a line of merch that can be found on Bonfire. As of now, the items feature the brand logo. I hope to expand on the shop later on with other art that is inspired by the theme of the brand. For anyone who is interested, you can also check out the Drift & Dream channel on YouTube. There you will find encouraging short videos. There is also a channel on Rumble.

The Drift Monthly Currents: 4.16.26
It’s been over a month now since the journey began, and for the most part, it’s been fun and interesting. Sometimes, I look back and wonder how it all happened, but I know that it was by the grace of God that it could be accomplished. There were trials that were faced, but with His help, I overcame them. That’s not to say that there weren’t moments of frustration and discouragement, because there were. Nothing was more discouraging and disappointing than what seemed to be a rejection during that time. There were even moments when I questioned why I’m bothering to do this, and there was even the temptation of giving up, but I knew that throwing in the beach towel was not an option. This was something I knew I wanted to do, a dream that I was not to give up on. I came to the realization that it doesn’t matter if certain people don’t accept what I’ve been doing. What matters is if the right people see it and enjoy it. It matters more if what I’ve been doing can be helpful, even if it’s just one person. It’s all the reason to keep moving forward. Even though there have been moments of discouragement, thankfully, I was able to connect with some wonderful people on Bluesky. The support has been greatly appreciated. It also gives me the opportunity to show support to authors, game developers, artists, and other creatives who are on the platform. A big congratulations to Matthew Farley, who is the author of The Last Beacon, and one of the featured creatives for the month of March. As of now, the book in production. If you get the chance, be sure to check out new releases by M.Y. Hauger, who was also a featured creative for March. There are several of them which include A New Dawn: Book 4, A New Dawn: Book 5, Echoes Beyond The Gate: The Portal Of Shadows, and Key Of The Void: The Voice In The Static. For all the gamers out there, M.Y. Hauger also has many games available, including The Visitor Of Darkness, which is a newly released game. Also, be sure to check out Trofina Slivkanic’s book, Fifteen Days Of Encouragement. Trofina was also a featured creative for the month of March. The journey will continue with updates for the site and possible future projects. There will also be another creative spotlight coming up for this month.
